Freightex wins prestigious European Logistics Award

Jan 22nd, 2015

Freightex yesterday won the European Logistics Award Category at the British International Freight Association (BIFA) annual awards ceremony in London.

Chief Executive Tim Phillips said: ‘We are so delighted to win what we consider to be BIFA’s top service award. We pride ourselves on responding quickly to difficult challenges faced by our customers and it is nice to be recognised for that ability. The judges really liked our use of technology to provide optimal transport which we are thrilled about. Congratulation to the other finalists, many of whom we know well.’

BIFA President Sir Peter Bottomley MP welcomed almost 500 guests to the 26th BIFA Freight Service Awards luncheon ceremony held at The Brewery, London. The event was hosted by the BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty.

The European Logistics Award was sponsored by TT Club. The 4 finalists were: Brunel European, Damco UK, Freightex and UFS. The judges considered that Freightex, the winner, “used technology at the sharp end to provide an optimum solution to the logistics challenges presented by its customer”.

Many thanks to BIFA, The Brewery, the sponsors and BBC host Naga Munchetty for such a successful event!
