Tim Phillips presents key session at prestigious CSCO 3PL forum in Venlo
Oct 26th, 2016
Freightex and GateHouse were asked to present at the CSCO/3PL forum in Venlo after their successful collaboration on GPS data integration.
CSCO is a conference of 350+ C-Level logistics & supply chain leaders including CEOs and senior directors from DHL Supply chain, Schenker, CH Robinson, DSV, Raben, and from the shipper side senior representatives from Amazon, HP, Kimberly Clarke, Nokia and many more.
Despite technology advances, many of the challenges for the transport industry haven't changed - for example, empty running statistics have been static for 10 years. Our CEO, Tim Phillips, explained to a large audience how data connectivity can improve efficiency industry-wide by making the whole supply chain more visible.
His live and interactive session considered topics such as how connectivity can save the industry considerable resources by having orders sent electronically, by sharing truck data and via GPS tracking.
During the session we surveyed the ability and willingness of attendees to share this data and discussed the attitudes and barriers to sharing. Tim went on to show the success of Freightex's integration via GateHouse of the GPS data for our carrier partners and how this can provide visibility up the supply chain, save effort in all organisations and improve customer service all in one step.
It was a highly successful and high profile event and an opportunity for Freightex to show off its leading technology amongst a prestigious group of industry leaders.
