Definition

An Europallet, also known as a Euro pallet, is a standardized wooden pallet used for transportation and storage of goods within the European Union. It is the most commonly used pallet in Europe and is recognized as the official pallet of the European Union.

Dimensions

The standard size for an Europallet for EU is 1200mm x 800mm x 144mm. It has a maximum weight capacity of 1500kg and can hold a volume of 0.96 cubic meters.

Construction

An Europallet is made of untreated, heat-treated or fumigated wood, with 22 blocks and 78 deck boards. The top and bottom deck boards are held together by three solid wood stringers, providing stability and strength. The pallet also has chamfered edges and rounded corners for safe and easy handling.

Markings

Europallets are marked with the EUR logo, which consists of a rectangle with 4 letters “EUR”and the country code of the country where the pallet was manufactured.
